my name is Laura Alice. obviously. I am very proud of my name.
Laura means "laurel" and it's derived from Latin. "Alice" means... umm... *runs to get name book* "noble" from Old German. I
was going to be called Elizabeth, but Mum and Dad changed their minds and named me after Laura Secord (that famous Canadian
chick, not to mention the name of a chocolaterie) and Laura Ashley (one of my mum's favourite stores). and Alice
is my grandmother's middle name too, and my great-grandmother's first name. thank you, great-Grandma, for being Ukranian and
starting the tradition of perogies!! :P
I'm a writer and an artist. sort of. I write mostly poetry, but
I'm working on a fantasy-type story. I've also written a short historical fiction-type story set on an 1805 Britty (British)
frigate chasing pirates. it's really bad, so I'm trying to edit it to make it better. when it's done I'll put it up here.

I'm also an equestrian. well, sort of. I ride every week. it's SOOOOO fun. if you don't ride,
you should at least try it. it is seriously like flying. I used to jump, but I'm taking a break to work on my dressage, which
is basically dancing, but with a horse. dancing with a horse. how profound. lol.
